The first step was finding a library that could do the base level editing, as I knew for a fact I wouldn't have time to implement a full-fledged byte-by-byte editor from scratch. This was a very technical build that took a lot of troubleshooting and trial/error. If you'd like to simply convert your video, enter 0 for the starting timestamp and the duration of the video (in seconds) for the ending timestamp and select an alternate conversion filetype.
Click the three dots at the bottom right of the preview and click "Download." Note that Firefox does not support embedded mp4s, making some features liable to breaking or acting unexpectedly.
Select the format for the output, and hit trim! It should take at least a few seconds, then come up with a preview. Enter a timestamp (in seconds) for the start of the video clip in the left number box, and the end timestamp in the right. This tool currently only works on Chrome and Chrome-based browsers due to certain dependencies. It is not guaranteed to work all of the time, but will improve in the coming weeks.
